Hydrangea arborescens 'Annabelle' Annabelle Hydrangea

This year our Annabelle hydrangea is producing more than 100 flowerheads.
What a wonderful sight.

Hydrangea arborescens 'Annabelle'
Annabelle Hydrangea
Zone 2 - 9
An outstanding older variety that is made for the Canadian gardener. This heirloom shrub is hardy to Zone 2 and can be grown in sun or shade. It produces large, round, white flowerheads from mid-summer until frost. Very free flowering. Blooms on new wood so be sure to prune it each spring. Can be cut back right to the ground. Prefers moist soil but otherwise very easy to grow.
Blooms are great for drying or just leave them on the shrub to provide fall and winter interest.

Hydrangea arborescens Annabelle

Hydrangea arborescens Annabelle
blooms on new wood so you can prune heavily right into (early) spring
should you have been busy drinking hot rum on the bear skin rug all winter.
Grows to five to ten feet…plant four feet on center.
By the way, the characteristic of blooming on the current season’s growth is the primary reason
Annabelle Hydrangea can be recommended so casually to cold climate gardeners.

Ich hoffe, der neue Kranz gefällt Euch,
bereitete mir viel Freude bei der Herstellung.

I placed the new wreath in front of the stone fireplace in our living room adding some colour to firewood in the background.
