I continued with my 'Walk for Wildlife' and visited Columbia Lake, City of Waterloo.
Spring flowers greeted me when I arrived at Columbia Lake, attached to the University of Waterloo.
The lake is man-made and features wild flowers, grasses,
birds and other wildlife.
Below the collage shows signs of a Beaver on a fallen tree.
Beavers are more than intriguing animals with flat tails and lustrous fur.
Perhaps one day I can observe one.
On old tree stumps I found TurkeyTail fungi (Trametes versicolour).
I really like Teasel - Dipsacus sylvestris
a beautiful wildflower in spring, summer and fall.
I found this excellent website to help me identifying local wildflowers.
