Walk along the lake and in our garden...

Today I enjoyed a lovely walk along the shoreline of Lake Ontario with
Rouge Park walk leader Laura.  I'll definitely return to this location to extend my walks along the waterfront trail to discover more
wildflowers and wild life.

Waterfront Walk
Leader: Laura
Challenge: Easy (paved)
Pace: Easy
Duration: 2 hours
What to expect: Meeting at the main Rouge Hill GO station ticket building, we will walk west toward the Port Union gazebo or farther, turning around when time tells us. On the way, we will explore the waterside and bluff areas, examining birds, plants and insects of this very special Eco zone while enjoying a lake breeze!

Collage of wild grasses, wild flowers and leaves we talked about.

View over Lake Ontario - weather cooperated -
overcast skies and rain arrived after the walk ended.

I admired a couple of this 'Big Bluestem' grass along the shoreline.
A native grass in Ontario and perhaps one for our garden as well.

Returning home I discovered this Stag Beetle(?) in the backyard and

a brown lipped snail chewing on my Annabelle hydrangea.
Now it was raining more...great day with lot of  things to see.
