Another year has gone by... Ein weiteres Jahr ist vorbei...

January 2010

In Februry 2010 we celebrated the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics in Canada.
Enjoyed the warm sun and ocean in the Dominican Republic for a few weeks.

In March we visited the CN Tower in Toronto with vistors from Germany.

April 2010 an early spring after a very mild winter.

Spring flowers in front of our house.

May 2010 - the garden explodes with flowers and colours.

June 2010 roses are blooming  and Maxi is watching butterflies.

July 2010 so many flowers and plants.
The Earth Laughs in Flowers.
-Ralph Waldo Emerson

August 2010  brings us many warm, sunny days and flowers.
Maximus, El Presidente II loves to sleep in the garden.

August 2010 - The annual Arts Festival was held in our Guildwood Park.

September is the month of sunflowers, hydrangea and hibiscus flowers.
Maxi's loves to visit the flower garden.

October 2010
My Sempervivum corner looks better every year.

In October we celebrated Thanksgiving in Canada.

One of my favourite wreath made from flowers in the garden.

Morningside Park ...So many parks to visit ...
According to our Provincial parks website, we have over 300 parks in Ontario.

Another wreath - made with berries from Mountain Ash tree.
Birds loved the wreath too...

Another beautiful walk and views over Lake Ontario.

November brings us closer to the end of the year .
The change of colours in nature are reflected in both of my pictures

I love to decorate our house with many different green pine, spruce, fir and hemlock twigs.
All items can be recycled or reused after the holidays.

Decorations in the living - and diningroom area. The hygrangea wreath below I created 2 years ago.
With some gold spray the wreath looks beautiful again for Christmas.

I wish all my visitors a very Happy New Year...
May the New Year bring you and your family,
joy, warmth, good tidings and all that is beautiful!

I am looking forward to the coming year and
can't wait to see my flowers growing and birds chirping in the trees.
Hopefully we will plant more trees in front of our house.
Our Guildwood garden isn’t meant to be useful.
It’s for joy and we welcome all visitors.
