American Robin..(Turdus migratorius)

Keep a green tree in your heart and perhaps a singing bird will come.

We have Robin who is visiting our garden quite frequently.
I know the bird because he has a little white spot at the end of his tail.

This bird is one of the first birds to sing in the morning and is one of the last to be heard at night.

The American Robin Turdus migratorius is one of the best-known birds in North America. It was given its name by the early settlers, who thought that, with its reddish breast, it resembled the English Robin. However, the American Robin is a thrush, not a robin, and except for the colour of its breast, it does not look like the small brown European bird.

Die Wanderdrossel (Turdus migratorius) ist ein Nordamerikanischer Singvogel.

Die 25–28 cm lange Wanderdrossel ist ein Vogel mit graubraunem Rücken, rötlich-oranger Brust, weißer Kehle, gelbem Schnabel, braunschwarzem Kopf und Schwanz. Während der Brutzeit wachsen dem Männchen schwarze Federn am Kopf.

Im Februar oder März kommt die Wanderdrossel in das Brutgebiet in Kanada und den USA und bricht im späten August in das Überwinterungsgebiet auf, das von den südlichen USA bis nach Guatemala reicht. Der Vogel lebt in Wäldern, offenem Farmland und städtischen Gebieten.

In seltenen Fällen kommt die Wanderdrossel auch in Europa vor.
Die Wanderdrossel ernährt sich von Insekten, Regenwürmern und Beeren.

Fox is a name applied to any one of roughly 27 species of small to medium-sized canids, with sharp features and a bushy tail or "brush".
By far the most common and widespread species of fox is the red fox (Vulpes vulpes), although various species are found on almost every continent.
The presence of fox-like carnivores all over the globe has led to their appearance in the popular culture and folklore of many nations, tribes, and other cultural groups.
The diet of foxes comprises rodents, insects, worms, fruit, fish, birds, eggs and all other kinds of small animals. The fox generally consumes around 1 kg food every day.
Foxes that live in neighborhoods mainly depend on household waste and even rodents and birds that keep moving around these areas.
Foxes are known to cache their food, burying the excess for later consumption.

Verbreitung:
Europa, Nord- und Zentralasien sowie Nordamerika.In den nördlichsten Gegenden dieser Regionen wird der Rotfuchs durch seinen Verwandten, den Eisfuchs, vertreten.
Lebensraum:
Eigentlich liebt der Rotfuchs einsame und dichte Wälder. Heutzutage lebt er aber praktisch in jedem Lebensraum inklusive Schrebergärten oder Parkanlagen.

Sogar in den größeren Parks von Großstädten ist der Rotfuchs anzutreffen.
Fortpflanzung:
Die Paarungszeit, bei Füchsen Ranzzeit genannt, ist im Januar und Februar. Die Füchsin, auch Fähe genannt, bringt nach einer Tragezeit von 50 bis 52 Tagen im Schnitt 3 - 5, gelegentlich auch mehr, Junge zur Welt. Die Jungen sind bei der Geburt blind und haben ein Gewicht von 80 - 160 Gramm und sind damit etwa so groß wie ein Maulwurf. Nach 12 bis 14 Tagen öffnet der Nachwuchs die Augen. Im Alter von 4 bis 6 Wochen werden die Kleinen entwöhnt und sind mit 4 Monaten bereits selbstständig. Die Geschlechtsreife erreichen Füchse mit etwa 10 Monaten. Nach rund einem Jahr verlassen die Jungen die Mutter, um sich ein eigenes Revier zu suchen.

Convallaria majalis, commonly known as the Lily of the
Valley or Lily-of-the-Valley, is the only species in the genus
Convallaria in the flowering plant family Ruscaceae, formerly placed in the lily family Liliaceae or in its own family called Convallariaceae.
This woodland plant is native throughout the cool temperate Northern Hemisphere in Asia and Europe and a limited native population in Eastern USA.

Das weitverbreitete Maiglöckchen (Convallaria majalis) ist heute die
einzige Pflanzenart der monotypischen Gattung
Convallaria in der Familie der Mäusedorngewächse (Ruscaceae).
Der botanische Name setzt sich aus lateinisch: Convallaria für
„in den Tälern vorkommend“ und lateinisch: majalis auf den Monat Mai bezogen,
zusammen.
Das Verbreitungsgebiet sind die gemäßigten Zonen Nordamerikas und Eurasiens.
